The DioField Chronicle: How To Play As Izelair

Izelair is The DioField Chronicle's resident tank and a textbook example of the classic sword-and-shield knight.

As with most class-based RPGs, your party in The DioField Chronicle needs a solid tank to hold the front line. Without them, the rest of your squishy glass cannons will fall before the onslaught of enemy combatants. Somebody has to draw enemy attacks and take their hits like a champ while the other members of the party deal the real damage, and Izelair is only too happy to take on that role.

Izelair likes to get up and close and personal with her attacks, which is where she’s supposed to be as a tank. Attacks like Roundhouse Slash and Shield Charge allow her to draw enemy aggro which keeps them focused on her and away from her less sturdy allies. Shield Charge and Shield Bash are also useful for disrupting enemy skills, allowing her to protect the team from area-of-effect attacks.

Izelair’s abilities are all about shoring up her defenses and keeping her health up. Against the Odds increases her damage resistance for each enemy attacking her while Strength in Numbers does the same regarding nearby allies. To take full advantage of Serenity’s generous defense buff, make sure to have a magicker nearby to keep Izelair’s health topped off.

You can use her provoking skills to turn enemies away from allies as well, opening them up to Ambush attacks.
